Murder probe opens into death of Old Harbour Bay man
Foga, was shot dead last night by unknown assailants while a 21-year-old female was shot an injured in the process.
The incident occurred about 9:45 pm, while the condition of the injured woman is said to be not life-threatening.
Old Harbour News understands that Foga, said to be in his mid-40s, was at a birthday party when he was attacked by masked men while he was on the outside of the premises.
Partygoers were sent scampering for cover while the men escaped on foot. When the dust settled Foga was observed lying motionless in a pool of blood and the young woman was heard writhing in pain.
Scene of crime detectives from the police constabulary were called to the scene where the area was processed and potential evidentiary material concealed for further analysis.
The death of Foga has come as a shocked to the community when Old Harbour News spoke with residents.
Speaking off record, they all described him as a hardworking man who earns his daily bread honestly juggling on the seaside.
Investigation continues.
