NWC working to restore Spring Village pump

The National Water Commission (NWC) said a team of engineers are currently working to restore service at its Spring Village, St Catherine facility.

This, the NWC said, is as a result of electrical and mechanical problems, forcing them to decommission the pump.

Customers served by the facility have been without water since late Thursday night.

The utility company informed Old Harbour News that it is unable to provide a timeline for the restoration of normal service.

However, in the meantime water will be trucked to customers affected by the suspension in service, it said.

The communities impacted are: Spring Village, Nightingale Grove, Nightingale Grove Farms, Island Farm, Grove Farms and surrounding areas.
