He has not slept since receiving news yesterday afternoon about the mysterious disappearance of eldest daughter Rihanna Thomas.

Thomas, a 14-year-old student of St Catherine High and resident of Kitson Town, St Catherine has been reported missing by her mother who called her for dinner and got no reply. This was sometime between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm.

“The mother said she was in the kitchen when she called her… and up until now nobody don’t see or hear from her,” Mr Thomas told Old Harbour News.

“We have been calling her phone but the calls keep going to voicemail,” he added.

The family has lodged a formal report at the nearby Guanaboa Vale Police Station.

Mr Thomas said he and Rihanna last communicated earlier this week via WhatsApp, but now is fearful their chat may be the last.

“Right now from them call me and tell me this, this just mash-up mi meds… mi no know weh fi se,” he said.

He describes Rihanna as a quiet, well-mannered child who is doing very well academically.

“She doesn’t give any trouble. She go to school and go to church,” the worried dad said to Old Harbour News.

There are times when Rihanna will visit him in Old Harbour, he said “but she will call me every step of the way until she reach me”.

“She will call me and say ‘mi in this taxi, or mi reach at x place now’,” he said, highlighting his daughter’s maturity.

Rihanna is of slim build, light complexion and approximately five-feet tall. He said they are unable to say what type or colour clothes she was wearing because nobody saw her leaving the house.

Anyone with information of her whereabouts is being urged to contact the police immediately via its emergency number 119, the Guanaboa Vale Police Station or Mr Thomas at 876 777 6327.
