PHOTOS: Bruce Golding in car crash
Golding, driving a green Toyota Land Cruiser, collided with a white Toyota Axio driven by a female, who had her two children along with her.
The incident occurred yesterday afternoon along the Bodles main road on the outskirts of the Old Harbour town centre.
All parties involved appeared not be injured.
A statement released last night by Golding's daughter Senator Sherene Golding Campbell, said the retired politician is okay.
She said of her dad: "Former Prime Minister Bruce Golding was involved in a motor vehicle accident today in Old Harbour, St Catherine.
"Thankfully, neither he nor the occupants of the other vehicle involved appear to be injured.
"He is home resting and sends his appreciation for the expressions of concern."
As expected the accident caused a pile up of traffic as curious motorists slowed down to observe the scene.
The Old Harbour Police traffic unit is investigating the matter.
