Robber shot dead by armed Old Harbour businessman

Three robbers got the surprise of their life when they tried to rob a businessman along Darlington Drive, Old Harbour moments ago.

The businessman, who is a licensed firearm holder, was in the company of his wife when he was attacked by armed thugs, Old Harbour News understands.

A shootout ensued during which one of the gunmen was shot and pronounced dead at hospital. Deceased has been identified as Troy 'Bomb' Nembhard, 18, from a section of the Burke Road, Old Harbour area known as 'Africa'.

The other two gunmen escaped.

The businessman and his wife were not hurt during the exchange of gunfire.
