Candice Edwards told Old Harbour News that sometime after five o’clock this morning she woke up and realized that her husband’s grey Toyota van (licence plate 1495 JC) had been stolen.

“I know I came in about after 10 last night,” she said, “and me and my husband were up talking. We went to bed minutes to one o’clock.

“So it happened between 1:00 am this morning and about 5:00 am because I got up minutes after five to send off the boys [to school] and have my devotion.”

A formal report has since been lodged at the Old Harbour Police Station, but Edwards says the officers told them they could not come to the scene because there was no transportation available at the time.

Hopefully investigators are able to locate the stolen van soon after new video footage emerged of thieves stealing a motor car from a premises in the Molynes Road area of Kingston City.

Based on the time stamped on one of the videos shared, the men had arrived at the Molynes Road community a few minutes after two o’clock in what Edwards believed to be the same van belonging to her husband.

The crooks spent more than an hour at the site as they troubleshoot their way before gaining access to the car.

Persons with information can contact the Old Harbour Police Station at 876 203 3659 or call 876 842 2748 / 876 872 8041.

Investigation is ongoing.
