GENESIS 30:1-8. Genesis 30:8 said: “And Rachel said, With great wrestlings have I wrestled with my sister, and I have prevailed: and she called his name Naphtali.”
Steve watched as his brother and father (two adults), were fighting. His mother came and asked him for details about the fight, which he had none. She then attacked with him for not knowing.
How much should we get into family fights is quite debatable. Jacob knew that the sisters were at each other and he tried to stay out of it. Rachel dragged him in demanding for him to do what only God can do. She then offered her maid as a viable substitute. Bilhah had 2 sons, the meaning of the name of the first is judge and the meaning of second is wrestling. They symbolized Jacob's life. As God judged him, the wrestling continued.
Have you ever been dragged into a conflict that might be close to you but you didn't want to be into it. Always, in these cases, ask yourself, "What is God trying to teach me out of this, to prepare me for my judgment and my struggles which will come (NOT IF, BUT WHEN)?
