Jamaica Prime Minister Andrew Holness, amid his very, very busy schedule, took the time off to participate in the 2019 Guardian Group Foundation KeepItAlive 5k night run staged in New Kingston yesterday.

The group hopes to raise $35 million from the charity event this year with the proceeds going towards four hospitals – Mandeville Regional Hospital, the University Hospital of the West Indies, Cornwall Regional Hospital and St Ann’s Bay Hospital.

Prime Minister Holness, who always appear to be in good physical shape, managed to finish the race but did not declare his official time logged.

But whatever the time, we are certain it was a good run.

Writing on his official Twitter account, Mr Holness commended the organisers for their efforts.

The insurance company will stage the second and final run on June 1 in Montego Bay.

Great going Prime Minister!
