Progress in eradicating Bible poverty

This was revealed in the latest bulletin from Bible translation organization, Wycliffe Caribbean. 

“This was the indication from reports by representatives from organizations at the Pacific Wa’a Partnerships (PWP) meetings in January in Kona, Hawaii, United States.

“Thirty-eight people representing sixteen mission organizations came together for the three days of meetings to share and report on their efforts in pursuing the ‘Goal of Zero’,” the regional body stated.

According to the organization, the 'Goal of Zero' campaign is to have no language in the Pacific remain without “God’s word”.

Meanwhile, several audio vernacular of the New Testaments in the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea were recorded by Faith Comes by Hearing staff in recent months.

“Praise the Lord for these language communities in the Pacific that now have audio recordings of their Scriptures.

“One language is Nyindrou in Papua New Guinea. Pray that many speakers of Nyindrou, and speakers of the other languages will download the recordings and listen to them.

“Pray that these Scriptures will help the church grow and will be useful for outreach in these language communities,” the mission group reports.
