I love when little people talk big. That's probably why Lennox was my friend. He was a small person, but man, he always had a big talk!

It was more than entertaining, it was engaging. Jesus might have been considered by many to be a little person, but man, did He have some big talk. He made some massive promises to those who dared to follow Him. We would have not just eternal life, but abundant life. Jesus was proven to be as bonafide as bonafide can be. The eternal life promise is proved  in the hereafter, but the abundant life is now. Could it be that we have it but don't know? Or we know, but don't know how to make it work for us? Well then let's step out of the boat and walk to Jesus, as He has called us to do. In all of our engaging, we will not be presumptuous, but we will act upon His promises. We won't assume that we have any special right to God's favour on us, we are going to act on the big talk of the Lord Jesus. If our Lord promised us something, let's claim it with both hands.  For example, peace is ours (John 14:27), so let's stop hugging up turmoil in our lives. Joy is not a distant benefit. It's ours TODAY, because Jesus secured it for us (John 16:24). Our needs will be supplied (Phil.4:18-19). I could go on but you get the picture. Abundance is the legacy of the Christian based upon the Lord's promises. Whether or not we claim them, that's entirely on us. You can be as poor as you want to be, or you could come with me as we go checkout some big promises - we might even walk on water.

John 10:10 (excerpt)… “I am come that you might have life more abundantly.”
