DAILY DEVOTION: Under Construction (The Framing)
This framing is not done with heavy duty materials because whilst it shows the shape of the real thing, it's NOT the real thing. Jesus, the Masterbuilder, has a way of framing us early in our life, after the destiny He has for us. I was told that as a very young child, I would preach (like the pastor of my grandparents’ church) to some banana trees. Today, I don't have any banana trees in my membership but that was just the frame. Things that God caused in your life years ago were set to frame you for today's ministry. Things happening now are preparing you for future ministry. God, even more than MacGyver, uses what seems like useless events in your life to frame you for future work. Don’t get discouraged that all you do right now is not much or not important. Remember the frame is not final. David tended lambs, then sheep. He fought lion and bear, then a giant. He played his harp in the king's court, then became a soldier, then a captain and finally a king. His highest title though, was that he was “a man after God's own heart”. Everything in his life was framing him towards this. What is God framing you for? Do your trusting best at each stage. This too will pass, it's just the frame of the structure that WILL come. Read 1 Samuel 17:34-37.
1 Cor. 2:9: …Eyes hath not seen, nor ears heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.
