DAILY DEVOTION: Under Construction (The Fortification)
Have you ever felt as if God has parked you at a station in life for too long? You are learning about the next level, but you are not matriculating to this other level. All prepping and no pressing makes "Jack or Jill" frustrated. The fortification of your structure is very important. God, our Master Mason, will reinforce you against the onslaughts that you will have to deal with, when you have "arrived”. A gentleman sat through my marriage counselling sessions a few years ago. This was going to be his second marriage. The first ended badly. He was braving a second dance with disaster one would say. As I shared pitfalls which couples can together be fortified against, he just said, "Pastor, where were you 19 years ago when I needed these principles?" I smiled on the inside, as I thought to myself, "I was off somewhere learning them, as God was fortifying me to be here to fortify this and many other couples”. What fortifying process is God putting you through right now. The blessed building that you'll become depends a lot on how you submit to the Master's, tedious fortification of you through real but hard situations. Joseph couldn't be the best governor without his past life dramas. David couldn't have been the great king without his Goliath saga. You will not reach your best without God's fortification.
2 Tim. 2:3: Thou therefore endure hardship, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
