DAILY DEVOTION: Under Construction (The Finishing)
There is no effort spent in getting them to pass on their acquired expertise, so that ‘wheel’ has to be re-invented. What a shame! I am very grateful that while God is bringing me to a point, He is still finishing me, and not finished with me. There is always something else that He wants to do in me. A Pastor friend of mine recently announced his retirement and I reminded him that all he has done is to move into another phase of ministry. This is the time for him to start ministering to ministers. We who are left behind need to find out the reasons for his success. We only truly retire when we expire. The fact that you are still alive says that God is still molding you. Have you ever wondered, what is the next level that He has for you? It really doesn't matter your age or stage, just know that as long as God has you here, He has work for you to do. In order for you to move into your new phase, the Masterbuilder has to continue to mold you. The finished product will only be when you totally reflect the image and glory of Christ. My friend, that will not even happen here in this life, so let's continue to press forward and let the Master continue to work on us, His masterpiece.
Phil. 3:12: Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
