Mrs. Byfield wasn't careful and she accidentally broke the glass. Jenny, who has always been chastised by her mom for not being careful, couldn't resist the opportunity.
"Mommy, you need to be careful, if you keep breaking them, we will have to drink from our hands."
Isn't it nice to see a player get played, a trickster get tricked. Well, Jacob got "jaked". He bargained for Rachel but when the veil and wine were all gone, the morning light revealed that he said I do to the wrong dame. Laban even had an excuse and plan B in place.
When was the last time God, yes God, allowed you to be played? I trust that after the dust of your anger had settled, you were more sympathetic to those that you have deceived in the past. Every loss that we experienced is designed to point us back to our past, for confession and to our future, for improvement. Learn from your loss or you will have to repeat it. God doesn't waste the events in our lives, so we shouldn't either.
