Javani 'Pim Pim' Rodney
The police are reporting that the suspected killer of Sgt. Averel McCollin, was fatally shot during a police operation this morning in the community of Delacree Lane, south west St Andrew.
He has been identified as 21-year-old Javani Rodney, also known as ‘Pim Pim’.
The operation started sometime before 5:00 am, the police said, however, full details have not been made public at the moment.
Rodney, who is from Portmore Villa, a community more referred to as Mexico, was the main suspect in the September 19 murder of Sgt McCollin, 57, who was attacked by gunmen while playing dominoes in Gregory Park, Portmore.
Police intelligence led them to Delacree Lane, as the suspect is said to frequent the Payne Avenue area.
