One man has been arrested while two others remain at large in relation to this morning’s senseless killing of a man in a bar on Market Street, Old Harbour.

Investigators at the Old Harbour CIB confirmed the arrested of the individual who was picked up following a swift para-military operation led by SSP Christopher Phillips, commander in charge of the St Catherine South Police Division.

Acting on intelligence, the suspect was accosted by security force members in a community within the Old Harbour space. His identity is being withheld until formal charges are laid.

It is expected that he will be charged within the next 24 hours in connection with the shooting death of Tashawn Douglas and the injury of another man both of whom were in a bar in the market district.

Two more suspects remain on the run police say, after four men allegedly open gunfire at another man during a dispute reportedly over money. A third person is said to be no longer regarded as a suspect in relation to the matter.

Douglas and the other man were hit by stray bullets, killing the former on the spot while the latter has been hospitalized in stable condition.

The police say they will continue to pursue the other men who they believe to be from the Old Harbour area.
