An unidentified male was shot dead moments ago in the town centre of Old Harbour.
Information reaching Old Harbour News is sketchy at this time, however, persons informed that three loud explosions believed to be gunshots were heard about 6:45 pm.
A man was then observed lying on the ground in a pool of blood on Darlington Drive about five metres from the Old Harbour Clock.
The deceased is said to be clad in a white shorts, white and red shirt and black and white slippers. His hair is plait while his face is of fair complexion associated with skin bleaching.
A police jeep came onto the scene shortly afterwards and removed the body.
It is advised, meantime, motorists used alternate routes to bypass the town centre as the police have cordoned off a section of the Darlington Drive to facilitate the processing of the crime scene by detectives assigned to St Catherine South Police Division and the Old Harbour CIB.
Vehicular traffic flow has slowed considerably due to the fatal shooting though traffic cops have been observed managing the situation as best as possible.
