PHOTO: School delegation visit cancer-stricken student in hospital
Josephs, who is eight years old, is at the hospital for the last three months undergoing continuous chemotherapy treatment for stage four Hodgkin lymphoma, a life threatening blood cancer.
The team donated a few food items and cash raised from its November 19 Parent Teachers Association (PTA) meeting.
Members of the delegation all offered words of support, while Parker-Mullings reiterated to Raje and his mother Venessa Williams-Morgan the school’s unwavering commitment to the cause.
Raje is expected to undergo a positron emission tomography (PET) scan – to determine where and whether cancer has spread at the end of this month.
The Claremont, Old Harbour family is continues to endure mounting financial challenges, which has led them to establish a GoFundMe for Raje. They have also decided to undertake a few fundraising initiatives, one being a fish fry set for November 29, 2019 at the Church of God of Prophecy Old Harbour.
