Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) has confirmed that month-end Saturday operations will continue this weekend, with select tax offices islandwide opening their doors to the public on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

Among the locations, the Portmore and May Pen tax offices are highlighted as key service points, offering residents greater convenience for urgent tax and motor vehicle transactions.

Portmore will operate from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. , while May Pen joins seven other locations welcoming taxpayers from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The full list of open offices includes St. Andrew (Constant Spring), Lucea, Falmouth, Montego Bay (FCJ Building, 11-12 Almond Way, Montego Bay Freeport), Mandeville, May Pen, Morant Bay, and St. Ann’s Bay.

According to TAJ, the extended Saturday hours are designed to ease the usual end-of-month congestion during weekdays and provide working Jamaicans with more flexibility to complete critical tax-related business.

Services available this Saturday include: Motor vehicle transactions, including electronic motor vehicle registration, driver’s licence renewals, property tax payments, TRN applications, all tax and fee payments.

However, TAJ advises that compliance and audit services will not be available on Saturdays.

The agency is also reminding the public that many routine transactions can be completed online without an in-office visit. These include fitness fee payments, traffic tickets, property tax payments, driver’s licence renewal, TCC applications, and private motor vehicle registration renewal.

Secure online payment options remain available via TAJ’s website (www.jamaicatax.gov.jm), the TAJ mobile app, NCB online banking, Scotia Online and mobile app, and direct funds transfer. Payments can be made for payroll deductions, income tax, consumption taxes, trade and business licences, stamp duty, transfer tax, and other business-related taxes.
