Blake-McCalla, a 27-year-old mother of four children age eight to three, has been reported missing since January 6 of this year.

Youngest sister Tamoy Blake, previously told Old Harbour News that Blake-McCalla was last seen by her husband Shane McCalla, who dropped her off at the toll exit at Old Harbour where she supposedly was meeting up with friends.

Since January 6 there have been no reports of anyone seeing or hearing from the missing mother who operates a construction business in Old Harbour with her husband.

The Blakes have been all they can to raise awareness that could locate Chantel, with the police also strongly involve in that process to find her.

Meantime, the police have confirmed that Mr McCalla was questioned by detectives but not taken into custody as its being rumored. A police officer, speaking on condition of anonymity, said it was standard procedure given that Chantel was last seen by her husband.

The officer also confirmed that Mr McCalla informed them that he dropped his wife at the toll exit in Old Harbour sometime before midday on January 6, confirming what he had also told her siblings and other relatives.

Statements publicly made by relatives of the missing woman could compromise the investigation, stated the cop, who told Old Harbour News that the constabulary’s high command has assembled a team consisting some of the best investigators with the hope of making an early breakthrough.

Investigation ongoing.
