Jackson’s body was found inside a room at what was once known as Crest Motel situated along the commercial strip of Marlie Mount on the eastern outskirts of Old Harbour.

The body had multiple chop wounds investigators observed.

It is believed that Jackson, also known as ‘Finger’, was killed at some point between 9:00 pm Saturday and 6:00 am Sunday the period in which he entered the building and when he was discovered by a watchman guarding premises.

According to a preliminary police report, while doing his routine check in the morning a room door was seen open. Upon closer examination, the deceased was seen slouched on the wall in a pool of blood.

The scene was processed and forensic evidence collected for further analysis which detectives hope can assist them in their investigation.

The body was removed to a morgue where a postmortem will be conducted at a later date to determine the cause of death.

Members of the public are being urged to contact the St Catherine South Police Division CIB unit if they have any information that could assist the investigation.
