Decomposed body found in Clarendon linked to Old Harbour double murder
The dead man has been identified as Aaron Thomas, 55, of Halse Hall, Hayes, Clarendon. Thomas’ decomposing body was discovered by residents in a section of the community at about 6:00 pm.
Detectives believe he died from what seems to be gunshot wounds, but can only confirm following an autopsy.
On Wednesday night taxi operator Anthony Daley, 41, and 43-year-old Melbourne Thomas, who is the brother of Aaron were shot dead in the vicinity of the Old Harbour interchange of Highway 2000.
Both men were killed at about 10:00 pm when residents heard explosions coming from the direction of the highway and summoned the police.
According to the police information obtained so far suggest that Daley and the Thomas brothers left the Halse Hall community together.
But whatever happened thereafter that led to their death remain a mystery.
It is believed though that Aaron was probably killed the same night, whilst the other men were taken to St Catherine and then murdered.
Investigation continues.
