In a day when those who weren't walking away from God, were running away, a man named Enoch walked ‘with’ the Creator. He always came home after their walk with lots of stories for any who would sit around the fire to listen.

He wouldn't be up late though, because he wanted to be off to bed early, to get up early tomorrow. They're going walking again! Someone might have cried to him as he headed off over the hills, "Hey, Nocky (or whatever nickname they called him), what about the farm? The seeds won't plant themselves you know." He would reply, "Elohim is my Provider, last night while I slept, He came by and when I got up all the seeds were planted, see you later." And with that, Enoch was gone. Walking with God has given Enoch so much joy. He took long stride to get to their rendezvous point. For a moment, he thought that he might have been too early, but as he got there, Enoch felt the warm presence of his waiting Friend encircling him.  As usual, God was already there for their walk.

Walking with God is the best that we can do each and every moment of our day. It affords us testimonials to share with others. Walking with God would never cause us to fall behind in our daily duties. As a matter of fact, because of His help, our production will increase. We cannot start on our walk with God "too early". If we get up 6, 5 ,4 or even 3 a.m. He's already their! After all, He was the one who woke us up and He never sleeps anyway.

Finally today, the warmth of His presence is a great part of the walk. Bask in it as you walk with Him today.

Psalms 16:11: Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in Thy presence is fulness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
