Suspects named in Old Harbour church group shooting
They have been identified so far only by their aliases: ‘Pops’ and ‘Duppy Maker’, as investigators open up a probe into a gun attack in which five people were shot at with one person receiving a minor injury.
According to preliminary investigation about 8:40 pm the worshipers – all between the ages of 14 and 51 – had just left the church in ‘Africa’ when the vehicle they were in was attacked by the two alleged culprits who fled afterwards.
One of the members, seated at the back of the vehicle, was grazed by a bullet, however, the other occupants miraculously escaped unhurt.
Several bullet holes were observed on the vehicle during a thorough combing of the scene which tells the tale of a frightening episode that could have been fatal for all.
Unsubstantiated claim behind the perceived motive is that the pastor of the church was the prime target.
It is being rumoured that the pastor engaged in occult practices that allegedly claimed the lives of both grandparents of one of the men who has been listed as a suspect in the shooting.
It is further rumoured that following the death of the grandparents in June, the suspect vowed to avenge their deaths and even recorded a video on TikTok threatening the pastor.
Investigation continues.
