How weird would it be to see a tree eating its own fruits? No! They are for others to enjoy.

God, the Holy Spirit, empowers us to serve others. Teachers need to learn yes, but their worth is maximized in their teaching others. Preachers need to practise what they preach yes, but even when they do so, it is to enhance their greater purpose of letting their walk back up their talk so that those who hear can be inspired to obey. The gifts, graciously given to us by the Spirit, are for the edification of the church. To stay away from the body with your gift is to rob everyone, even yourself. When we come together and you minister to me as I minister to you, then is the body alive and well. By this, God is truly glorified. Each of us needs to value both our contribution and our need. We then need to share with and receive from each other. A setup like this is very attractive to those lost and lonely in sin. Let’s serve each other today more than yesterday. When we are filled or controlled by the Spirit, we are using our gifts to serve God by serving each other.

Heb.10:25 (KJV): Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner if some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Have a Spirit-filled Sunday!
